Julien Marchal
Pianist and composer.
Julien Marchal is a pianist, composer and producer based in Bordeaux, France. His INSIGHT series comprises five solo piano albums released between 2015 and 2025, bringing together fifty-three compositions. On the first record, made in his home studio, the mechanical sounds of the piano have a place alongside the notes.
Collaboration is another part of his work. With British songwriter Ed Tullett, he forms Lissom, whose albums Lissom and Eclipses combine piano, voice and arrangements. As SLUMB, he works with producer Senbeï on releases including Play Dead and Plague. He also collaborates with Izzamuzzic on Shootout.
Marchal founded Whales Records, an independent label bringing together artists from different musical backgrounds. Explore his discography, official piano sheet music and music credits for film and television.
His compositions are also heard in films and television series, both as a solo artist and with Lissom or SLUMB. The detailed credits distinguish placements of existing recordings from original compositions and contributions to a score.
